Must get back on track... Must not eat large pizza...

Well, here I am after not posting for almost a week. I feel guilty, embarrassed and I little bit worried about whether I will be able to reach my goals.

The good news is that I have managed to not gain any weight and I actually see a small decline still. I am sure it is because I have adjusted my eating habits enough that even on a bad day I am eating less than I was pre diet. Also, I would venture to guess that my metabolism has improved slightly.

But I plan to continue dieting and losing weight for the foreseeable future. However, I am going to change my technique a small amount. I plan to test my self and see how I do if I don't keep track everyday. If I just continue to eat healthy and exercise consistently then I expect to continue losing weight. I need to see if I have the ability to control myself without listing everything down to the calorie every single day. If I start to gain it all back then I will have to get back into logging every single stick of game that I eat, but until then I am going commando and trying this out. Wish me luck.

I got in a 3 mile run this morning before work. I feel great whenever I get up and run before work.

Hump Day!!

Had a nice long walk with Andrea last night. Put in a solid 3 miles. Tonight I will be walking and getting in my W6D2 run for the C25K plan from Cool Running. Work was pretty busy, but for some reason felt less stressful than Tuesday did. I was just ready to give up on Tuesday.

There is just too much crap going on lately. Work has been super hectic and now it looks like one of the other engineers is taking a job elsewhere. So my workload might increase further.

I also have a ton of work todo around the house and no time or money to do it. As long as I keep exercising and eating right everything will work out. Losing weight has actually made me feel more efficient in everything I do and it is helping my entire life.

Wow

... what a busy weekend!!

So I failed miserably in keeping track of what I ate. It was vacation!! I mostly just attempted to no snack and not to order any thing excessive while out to eat. I managed to gain 3.4 pounds, but I think most of that will pass sometime today. I get a little backed up when not on my home turf.

The vacation was a good time. We managed to have some very busy days and got in everything we wanted to.

We went to wineries, a casino, Niagara Falls, ate dinner on the coast of Lake Erie (at Sunset), ate 300 ft above the falls, sampled 20 different fruit syrups with some huge pancakes, had drinks on the lake on the floating bar, had a picnic in a vineyard. It was a great weekend.

So now I am back at work and ready to get back to my diet and start losing some more weight.


Also, on Friday I got my run in. 20 minutes without stopping, and then added another 5 minutes after a short walk. Felt good!!

Stagnant!

So my weight has been staying relatvely even for the last four days. I can't seem to get below 247. I have been running, walking, eating right. Just can't seem to push through. I have a feeling that I have been drinking a lot more water in the last few days because of the heat. I hope that I am just carrying a little extra water weight and that it will fade away in the coming days.

Gains

So this morning's weigh in was a small disappointment. I need to remember that water weighs a ton and that I should expect ups and downs just from how much I sweat in a given day.

But regardless the scale said I was up .4 pounds from yesterday. Hopefully going for my run tonight will get that back in check. With the heat and humidity I am sure to lose more than .4 pounds of water on that run.

Going away this weekend which means it will once again be hard for me to monitor my weight and my calorie intake. I am actually considering taking the scale with my on the trip just so that I can keep a log over the weekend.

I plan to write my food down everyday in a notebook and then look it all up when we get back.
